About Paul
Paul Lacerte makes his mom proud every day he puts his family’s name on the line to protect Indigenous women and children from toxic masculinity and violence caused by colonization. Co-founding the Moose Hide Campaign with his daughter in 2009, Paul proves that families working together can solve intractable problems at a national scale.
As a member of the Carrier First Nation and Nadleh Whuten Band, Paul dedicated 20 years of his early career to building a love-centered vision for the friendship centre movement.
Recognizing a critical gap in the social finance sector, Paul put his political science degree to use championing an Indigenous investment intermediary: Raven Indigenous Capital Partners - the world’s first 66% Indigenous owned investment firm designed to flow patient capital to Indigenous entrepreneurs who are intent on lifting up Indigenous people with their business’s theory of change.
To date, Raven Capital has deployed 10Million dollars to Indigenous Entrepreneurs across Canada, and will scale to 100Million across the whole of Turtle Island by 2026.
Paul continues to be a sub-average hockey player, and return to his home territory annually to moose hunt and berry pick with his family.
